Doğukan Sahil

Genetics and Bioengineer

Türkiye

Hey folks! Doğukan Sahil here, born and bred in the beautiful landscapes of Türkiye (1996, to be precise). A seasoned traveller, I’ve explored over 60 of my country’s 81 provinces and have set foot in 4 different countries worldwide . My goal? Broadening my horizons even further. My academic journey kick-started in the hallowed halls of Istanbul Okan University’s Faculty of Engineering, where I learned in Genetics and Bioengineering. I’ve always had a thing for complex topics like fuzzy logic and bioinformatics (UGENE etc.) – just for fun, you know? Oh, and did I mention I’m also dabbling in Artificial Intelligence? Just your usual, everyday hobby, right? You’ll find a portfolio of my AI projects a little further down. Additionally, I’ve racked up professional experience in a hospital laboratory, where I gained expertise in various techniques. As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve also got a cool 10 years under my belt working with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Add Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to the mix, just for good measure. The goal? Merging all these superpowers with artificial intelligence, of course!

In between becoming a bioengineer and a software ninja, I found the time to breathe life into two awesome projects. And guess what? I even have some shiny certificates in Advertising from the likes of G o o g l e and Apple. My language skills? Well, they’re as international as it gets. Turkish and Azerbaijani? Check. English, Russian, and Italian? You bet! Here’s a little trivia for you: I founded and managed Roket Bilimi and Miyelin, two of Türkiye’s pioneering platforms before AI became the new black. One’s all about rocket science and the other a haven for bio-science aficionados. You can take a trip down memory lane via the web archive. These days, when I’m not trying to revolutionize the world with AI or developing iOS apps for Apple, I’m either beefing up my programming skills or trying to break my powerlifting record. Just your average Joe, right?

During the summer of 2023, I worked on an Arduino-based project, focusing on integrating heart rate sensors and climate change observation devices. The goal was to develop a comprehensive system that could simultaneously monitor both individual health indicators and environmental conditions. I’m excited to share that the project is now complete! If you’re interested in learning more about it, you can find detailed information and updates on my blog page.
