Road work on the highway creates traffic congestion, with orange traffic cones restricting lane use. Large city vehicles do construction, repairs and clean up on the roads, to keep the roadway as safe as possible to motorists. However, they also cause congestion by restricting the amount of available lanes, creating a snarl on many city roads.
