May 17 is World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. The purpose is to help raise awareness of the possibilities the Internet & other information & communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies & economies. Telecommunication Towers include all types of towers, a monopole; tripole; lattice tower; guyed tower; self support tower; pole; mast; or other structure, which are used to support telecommunication antennae for the purpose of radio & wireless telecommunications.
