St Matthew Island is an uninhabited, remote island in the Bering Strait in Alaska. It’s a rocky, treeless, unhospitable island and is rarely visited due to its islolated position and lack of resources. It’s one of three islands that make up the Bering Sea Wildlife Refuge. It’s of critical importnce to wildlife, particularly birds and arctic foxes
