Beautiful Blue! A beautiful blue Hydrangea bloom flowerhead on healthy green leaves. Growing Hydrangea bushes in an acidic soil with aluminum ions, produces beautiful blue to purple flowers, due to color changes in the flower pigments. I used to call these “snow balls” when I was a child. My Mom had one of these plants and this reminds me of her.
