Hello!
My name is Tim and I am a composer based in Cheshire in the UK.
Music
I’m a mostly self taught composer with a strong grasp of musical theory thanks to some guidance from tutors and learning resources. As much as I understand it is possible to write and arrange music without using notation, I do feel that having that ability opens up a lot of possibilities that might not have otherwise been apparent.
I like to work in a number of styles, but I do favour more orchestral arrangements, with some jazz influences. I do have the capacity to work in more contemporary styles incorporating guitars, drums keyboards etc. At the end of the day I’m happy working in any style, quite honestly (aside from heavy metal).
I generally write my music with a notation software, then produce it using a mix of midi sequencing and actual performance recording, depending on the requirements of the piece. I play guitar, piano, bass and a range of percussion instruments.
I am available to work freelance as a composer. Don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss any projects you’d like to collaborate on.
