The Mayan Temple of Kukulcan at Chichen Itza on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Also call El Castillo, this Mesoamerican step-pyramid in the Chichen Itza archaeological site, was built and enlarged between the 9th and 12th centuries by the pre-Columbian Maya civilization.
