Licenses

Did you know that when you 'purchase' an item from one of our marketplaces, you're actually purchasing a license to use that item? So it pays to understand our licenses!

Start with the comparison table and licenses overview below, then take a few minutes to read the license terms for the license you're interested in.

We've kept our licenses as simple as we can, so you'll find more details, explanations and examples in our Licensing FAQs page. Please take a look there with your burning questions and if you still can't find the answer, please contact us through Support.

Licenses overview

Here's a snapshot of our most common licenses.

Regular License

Our most popular license, the Regular License allows use of the item in one single end product which end users are not charged to access or use. You can do this directly or, if you're a freelancer, you can create the end product for one client to distribute free to its end users. You can charge your client to produce the single end product. Distribution of source files is not permitted.

Extended License

Our Extended License allows use of the item in one single end product, which you or one client may sell to end users (charge end users to access or use the end product). Distribution of source files is not permitted.

PhotoDune Regular License

Our PhotoDune Regular License allows use of the item to create multiple (more than one) end products, which are distributed free to end users by you or by one client. Unlimited copies are permitted for websites, and for other uses there is a limit of 250,000 copies across all products. If you are a freelancer, one license is needed per client.

PhotoDune Extended License

Our PhotoDune Extended License allows use of the item to create multiple (more than one) end products, which you or one client may sell to end users. Unlimited copies are allowed. If you are a freelancer, one license is needed per client.

Tools License

Our Tools License allows one single user to use the tool (an installable application), which can then be used by that person to create an unlimited number of end products.

Logo License

Our Logo License allows non-exclusive use of the logo item. Each license allows one unique logo to be created, which is the end product that can then be used in multiple and unlimited ways.

For other licenses, please look at the license wording and the FAQs.
