xml from database ?

Hi all

Can an xml file have the settings changed from information held in a database

So that if we have numerous customers requiring use of our website wanting different colours or text we can do this automatically

Has anyone used an XML database as part of a PHP application, whether XML -enabled or native XML ? If so, were there any problems or even advantages beyond your expectations that you would highlight?
