I do believe there’s a simple solution to this:

Don’t kick a gift-horse in the mouth!

ThemeForest.net is an amazing place, for both Designers / Coders and potential buyers. While I have only been a buyer, I plan on becoming a seller and I don’t see any reason to complain about how they process your money. While I cannot speak from experience, I can however speak from common sense.

The points made in this discussion are very valid. ThemeForest.net has created a beautiful very resourceful website for both Designers and Buyers to come to, to make money and spend money. They’ve put time and effort to advertise, promote and only approve the best of the best.

Where else do you find what you find on ThemeForest? Especially for these prices.

Your making great money, either way. And no offense, but I’d not rely too strongly on your income from ThemeForest. While there are authors who can rely on ThemeForest, it looks to me like the ones complaining are the ones not making very much from their sales and just want a few bucks at the end of the month.

I’m not here to complain, or to defend ThemeForest, but I think they’ve done a fantastic job and so have the many contributors.

Don’t keep a gift-horse in the mouth!

Just because Envato currently has a monopoly on the stock web template business does not mean that I’m simply going to eat whatever is fed to me. I still have a right to have disagreements with certain processes/rules. And despite the said monopoly that Envato currently has, I’d say Envato needs we web designers more than we need Envato.

If we’re making suggestions though, I’d love to be able to simply have a ThemeForest debit card that I could draw directly from, but that’s just not the case. ;)

+1 – I’d love to have a ThemeForest (or Envato) debit card! I bet this would be a nightmare to setup though, lol.

Envato doesn’t have a monopoly on stock templates, that’s a little silly. Also, the idea that Envato needs web designers more than web designers need Envato is a little silly. While you may not need Envato, there are many benefits from Envato you’re highly unlikely to find anywhere else right now. Proof of this is the number of authors making $5K+ each month. While making that money without Envato is possible, it’s much more difficult doing it alone, not to mention much less fun. So sure, you don’t need Envato, but you sure as heck want them. ;-)

So Envato doesn’t have a monopoly on the stock web template business, yet I can’t find what they offer anywhere else. Bit of a contradiction?

I really have no problem with the weight. It would be nice to be able to get it sooner, but right now, it is not that big of a deal to me. I have an iCal reminder that alerts me on the 15th of each month reminding me to push the withdrawal button.

Hey, guys. This issue has been discussed many times. However, I agree that it could be better. Generally, I request a payout during the last few days of the month, and then it’s deposited into my account in about two weeks. Not unreasonable by any means.

With that said, as many of you noted, if you forget to make a request, that can definitely be a burden. I’ll make a request to have a pop-up appear a few days before the end of the withdrawal period.

Thanks, guys!

You guys don’t get it.

Envato keep the money for security reason.

Suppose someone have your password and wait until 23:59 on the last day of the month to cancel your withdrawal and insert his own paypal adress … 1 minute later .. he receive your cash ..

Some guys here make 10K + / month .. imagine what would happen if some hacker take 10-15 passwords .. and transfer all the money .. :)

So now .. if someone cancel your withdrawn .. and send it to his account .. Envato have 2 weeks to notice it and take actions ..

Maybe it should be 1 weeks .. but for me there is no difference .. I get paid every month and I am pretty happy about it .. if they want to make interest .. I don’t give a shit .. it’s just more money into this great company and we will all benefit for that.

why there is no https log in here?
