yeah just had a search, 64bit FTWYeah, they are both 64-bit capable but since I only have 4GB of ram (and don’t plan to get any more) there was nothing to gain from installing 64-bit Windows.(thinking about it, of course it is else why would they let me stick 8gb of RAM in it lol)
Although the windows OS can’t access the entire 4GB of RAM in 32bit mode…
So you effectively have somewhere in the region of 3GB of useable ram in your windows boot

Yap you are right if you have 32bit and 4GB ram on (XP/7/vista) the OS will use only 3.12GB so that’s the way it goes so its not 4GB
