why?

i feel like my items is invisible to the buyers…is there anything to do or just wait?

Invisible like what? you can share your items around the internet via Social Media… Remember for 6 or 7 billions people in the worlds… Yeah not all people have Internet Connection, and not all people have Envato Account, especially GraphicRiver… So, make some experience with your file, make your buyer interesting with your file, such as good Image Preview, good Support and many more. You’re not alone, there’s many author have same happen like you…

There’s also something about the items themselves, the more general themed your items are – the bigger your target audience of potential buyers is. Take your two last items for example, they look very good, but the amount of buyers looking for sports or gambling themed stationary is way smaller than buyers looking for just general corporate stationary, or food related stationary. Some might say that general is banal, but you can always keep it look original with adding a nice idea into it.

Edit: btw, if you’ll take a look into my items, i have a gambling related flyer, which i looks pretty well i believe, but it doesn’t sell as well as my other flyers just because it has a more specific theme.

When you spend more than a day building a new file and it get’s only 10 or 15 minutes on homepage,how can’t they be invisible?

A well designed Preview Image and a stand-out Thumbnail has been prooven to work. Create a personal thumbnail so people will recognize you and put some extra time creating a well designed, well detailed Preview Image and buyers will notice you and your files.

A well presented profile has also been prooved to work. Make it personal, draw inspiration from other authors and present yourself and your files in style. That’s what I have done and I’ve had over 60 sales so far this month, which is a new record for me this year. Otherwise I have at least 10 sales a week and I haven’t produced a new item in a month or so. Make use of Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc .. & who knows, you might be able to catch some nice referrals as well.

@Mirtt, yeah, we are aware of the homepage situation and we try to take that into consideration. However, it’s quite hard to keep track of multiple files, multiple authors and a whole gang of reviewers. Due to this some files have less front-page exposure. Unfortunately!

This is why we also incorporated the category slider on the front page so buyers are able to see the newest files from the category they prefer! It’s been a huge help and items stay a bit longer on the front page due to this.

1) Be chatty on the forums, it’ll help you gain followers

2) Keep releasing more items, the more they appear on the front page or top of categories, the more people will browse your other files.

3) Use your item descriptions to advertise your other products (see Envato Notes tomorrow about this)

4) Advertise your files on other sites, your Twitter, Facebook, etc, etc

5) Leave sincere feedback comments on other authors files from time to time

6) Constantly work to improve your own skills and files

Don’t expect to be an elite author overnight, your files will start to sell in time
