A flasher never forget you know …..![]()

I just don’t understand why people still think Flash is important… I used to do Flash development for HUGE companies and once I realized how pointless and wasteful Flash is, I quit working with it all together. I see NO reason to use Flash for anything except maybe cheesy little games and to annoy people with time-wasting animations & transitions.
Apple not allowing Flash is probably the best thing Apple ever did for people.

^ my point had nothing to do with whether you agreed with Apple or not, just that we should chalk it up to circumstance when a Flasher is critical of Apple.
If you worked as a car mechanic and suddenly everyone in the world started riding a bicycle because bicycles could suddenly fly, you’d understand the reasoning, but it wouldn’t change the fact that you’re career, and subsequently your life just got sent into a whirlwind. And I’d certainly understand if you cursed the flying bicycle as a result
1981 saidThe only true reason no what anyone tell you why Apple not allowing Flash is one : .
Apple not allowing Flash is probably the best thing Apple ever did for people.
By allowing flash they will never have control on the contact as flash open platform any flasher will be able to sell apps without the need of the app store and if you ask me that just a genius way to control your app goody, and that’s how you do business my friend by strict you from using other technology if you can’t make money of it .
Apple is huge and they just crash Adobe on that issue in 18 months, add the fact they kill 2 million flash developers on the way in the last 2 years.
So this is why we don’t like Apple

I’m really puzzled by this. When I draw a line under features and cost I never find apple products convenient. Always, same price alternatives are more powerful and allow better flexibility. I always check apple website when I need some equipment but never purchase something from them. I’m referring at buying apple products for professional work only. My question doesn’t include purchasing an ipad or iphone if you develop for that platform, since you need it for testing.
The mistake you are doing is comparing hardware specs, instead of the total outcome.

Let me think it twice… are you talking about all the animation and transitions that ALL web designers and developers are nowadays trying to reach with new (fashion shiny cool but not new!) technologies?
Another MAC vs PC thread that turns into a flash haters talk!

I don’t get it. Please define “total outcome”
But if you know to do something you can do it on the same hardware configuration. So why pay more for the same stuff?
If you are a rally driver, and you know to drive, and I give you two identical cars but with different names, one that cost X and one that cost X-30%, why purchase the expensive one? This was my question, and it happens that apple have the stuff that cost more than the competition at the same specs, so this is why I have asked about them.

You pay for the name that’s the way i see it.

What really grinds my gears is how EVERY movie uses Macs exclusively. You could have a movie about homeless people begging for food on the street, but they somehow own a Mac
Earth to Hollywood: Macs are EXPENSIVE and not every person on the planet has one! Just show me a Dell every now and then and I’ll be happy
Stewie just said that! Take it home with you
