Hello everyone,
I just wanted to gain some advice on advertising my items as my sales per month have been decreasing. I’d just like some links to websites that you advertise on, etc.
Here is what I have done so far:
- Set up a Twitter account and post updates for new or updated items
- Set up a DeviantArt account but havent really been active on it
- Recently set up a Tumblr account mainly for Tumblr Theme design help
- Added a few of my models to my personal site Wilde Media
What I will be doing:
- Aiming to upload a minimum of 5 files a month
- Post regularly on Tumblr, Twitter and my personal website
Any more advice on what I should upload, things you’d like to see, where to link to my files, etc would be awesome!

I’m not sure about your 3d files, but you can promote your Themes, PSD ’s, and Illustrations on Adobe Exchange: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/
That’s where most of my referral $ comes from.

promotion is simple
2 of the most-visited sites are http://www.behance.net/ and http://www.flickr.com/
with those 3 sites you are good to go, but only if you are as active with uploading pictures like with your uploads on 3DO… I would make 2 pictures of every product you sell, as example a perspective of the whole model.. and a perspective with some details, zoomed in….. and upload it to behance, flickr and deviantart
don’t forget to add your link of the relevant item page
just my little tip…

Awesome advice danielku! Never thought of uploading images to flickr, thought it was more for photographers then 3D modellers. I’m on Deviantart aswel but have only uploaded a couple of images of my work. Might leave this weekend free to get some advertising done.

Thanks! I wasn’t familiar with behance. I’m definitely going to have to mention that over on ActiveDen. The first portfolio I looked at got me laughing pretty hard: http://www.behance.net/Gallery/www_glennz_com-Tee-Designs/149088

That guy is amazing at what he does. I’m planning on getting a mouse mat and possibly a t-shirt on pay day!
