Probably I’m the only one that started coding with Dreamweaver CS5 and keep coding with it (of course with the newest version)
I’ve tried Notepad++, Sublime text 2, NetBeans etc etc but are too confusing. I know is not the best for PHP but I only need a clean workspace with few code suggestions, the rest is all about clean code and mind.

Wow, I actually left DreamWeaver because it was too confusing… :/
I only need a clean workspace with few code suggestionsDreamWeaver has so many menus that I get lost as soon as I enter it, I even find that most of them are unuseful… Giving me too much options, while I just want to create a simple PHP snippet. Sublime Text 2 is just for that. And as they say it on the home page: “Sublime Text is a sophisticated text editor for code, markup and prose. You’ll love the slick user interface, extraordinary features and amazing performance.”

But let’s not get too personal here… Stay with what fits you the most.

Of course, the most important thing is the comfort!
Anyway I use the most basic interface: code-view and on the right the file navigator and raely the CSS details.
- Explorer
- MultiCliboard
- CCompletion
- NppFTP
- ToolBucket(for multiline find and replace)
- Snippets(occasionally)

I use and will use Notepad++ with the following plugins:

- MultiCliboard
- CCompletion
- NppFTP
- ToolBucket(for multiline find and replace)

+1 (although my plugins are a bit different)
however… I still do most of my coding with vim over ssh
NotePad++ is definitely the best tool.

By far and away this. http://www.jetbrains.com/phpstorm/
It’s awesome. Lots of configuration options lets you make the IDE yours. I struggled to find an IDE that met all my requirements for years, before PHP Storm, NuSphere PHP Ed came close.
Sublime Text 2 FTW!!
My favorite is Sublime Text 2
