Hello,
Since english is not my native, i’m wondering what does responsive mean in titles and discription of templates?
Thanks for help.
compatible on these devices: Mobile, Tablet and Desktops that’s all I know…

it means that the width of the page / items and content areas change along with how they are displayed and stacked dependent on the device used to view the site – i.e. it is adaptive or responds to the display size on the device the viewer is using.

Essentially it means that the theme is capable of dynamically optimizing the layout for different sized viewports (it “responds” to the viewport/browser/device size); the purpose is generally to provide a quality experience for users on both monitors/laptops and mobile devices, without the need for separate websites.
Hope that helps
EDIT : I see I was beaten to it twice over
haha
Responsive simply means the layout will change depending on the size of the window or device it is viewed on. It does not mean the content is optimized to work on tablet and mobile devices because in many cases the themes and templates use the exact same large images and videos as it does on the full desktop layout.
You are great guys! Thanks for help!

Tho this is an subject that could be debated, since smart phones are hitting the market hard… the usability of responsive themes by my opinion is questionable since the devices have great surfin capabilities and responsive theme ruins the full page view and you can’t see the content that’s necessary at the top, or you see less. So it is not always the best solution in my opinion it is useful for old devices, touch is making it obsolete.

^ Sure!
There is a stupid fever about responsive sites. Personally i prefer to see the full real site and use touch/zoom/focus to read or magnify. Modern phones capabilities are just awesome for that.
Sometimes is justified, but right now seems like all pages are going responsive, and is not always the right solution. In fact, is a solution for existing problem at all.

Yes, soon the smart touch phones will dominate, people that use the rest mostly don’t even browse with them. So…

websites should take advantage of the touch interactivity, responsive in my opinion just defaults everything to scroll down/up.
