We always complain in the forums and try to come up with ways to deal with all the people out there illegally getting our themes and what not… but I can’t believe that I just had to send Theme Forest a DMCA notice.
I was really angry and worked up tonight to find an author on theme forest who published a theme copying one of my entire WordPress themes, and just basically re-skinned it. He even copied many of the ways I market my theme both on theme forest product page and on my demo site. He didn’t even bother to change code by mixing it around or re-commenting it.. or even bother changing the names of all the widgets he stole. He even copied my documentation.
He made 54 sales in the last couple weeks with this theme. So he went ahead and published a second WordPress theme using all my code once again that got published today. He thanks all of his happy customers for giving him compliments on his new theme and is glad to “sort of” help with their customer support (with the apparent limited knowledge he actually has)... just like… he didn’t do anything wrong. It sucks that someone on TF would do that.

This is hard to hear bro. I allways prey about this themes looking like a poor copy of a former theme, but I just got to hear “They maybe look a little bit same, but are unique themes bla bla”.
The guys of Themeforest and the reviewer sometimes see just the money, not the work and maybe a copy of a former theme. Sad thing I hope you can get this guy for copyright issues. I hope Envato look for some more reviewer, so they can take a deeper look at comming themes.
