Agreed with everyone on a UK meet. I think Birmingham is a good choice (I am way up in Ripon, North Yorks.). Book it and they will come! Anyone serious enough about this community and what we do, would not necessarily hassle about a slightly extended trip. I think an official/un-offical yet semi-sanctioned meet would serve the bigger picture well. We could all benefit from establishing some solid community roots.

I would say Newcastle is an awesome place for a meetup. If you haven’t been there yet I would definitely recommend the Gateshead Quays. It’s simply amazing at night!
But not Sheffield… just no.

Birmingham is a good place… people can always get a train. I live quite close but not sure if I will go just because I would find it strange to meet strangers, and what would we even talk about.

We should have our own little meetup, all the local members, and being in Fareham/Southampton, you should check out our film festivals which will both be taking place at the Lysses House Hotel
