As promised, here’s my Intuos4
It’s gonna take me some time to get used to the pen but its overall accuracy and easiness of use make me consider firing the mouse

Hey Dani thanks for sharing, after you use it a bit please post a quick review if you can
I can’t continue using a mouse not even the magic mouse, it hurts so badly.

I use a pen tablet, as an additional tool, but only for required design-related projects. I’ve never adapted to effectively navigating with a pen while having to share common space with a keyboard. Even though everything here is wireless, until they somehow find a way to integrate a mini-keyboard in the tablet, it’s far from being my primary choice for practical navigation.
The overall concept of substituting a mouse with a pen is extraordinary, especially when it comes to precision, but tablets were designed to be used independently, thus requiring too much space when used alongside a traditional keyboard.

Sure, Ivor, you can count on me!
The first thing that I noticed about the cursor movement on the screen – since the entire screen area is mapped to the active surface of the tablet, the position of the mouse cursor on screen always corresponds to the position of the pen on the tablet. This basically means that you have to move the pen over the entire active area of the tablet if you wanna have access to the whole screen area.
Lol I’m not sure if all that makes sense, I’m either too excited about my shiny new Intuos, or too tired to be able to word my explanation coherently
Fun fact (and totally unrelated to the topic at hand) :
The tablet should’ve been a gift to my cousin, but I decided to keep it and order another one for her

I feel so privileged to be able to work on such an outstanding tool!
I’m currently in the process of isolating a part of an image in Photoshop and boy how great it feels to work using a much more natural hand movement!
I LOVE MY INTUOS !!!!!!!!!!!!

lol
I had one when I worked on site for a client, they’re gorgeous to use
Intuos4 is excellent tablet.
Two months ago I got unbearable pain in my right shoulder. I couldn’t move my hand, couldn’t sleep because of the pain, it was suffering.
After few days spent at all sorts of doctors, one asked me if I use a mouse a lot, which I do.
He told me that the pain was caused by my sitting at a desk and using mouse and advice me to change mouse for pen. (Consider that I was really inactive for two years).
Yes, we all got used to using mouse, but the pen is more natural for our body…
Cheers

However, mouse or tablet are just a tools. it is based on your mind, which one is much better for your work. if you can used to mouse ergonomic style combining with keyboard correctly, you will be comfortable. with tablet make your work quickly and efficient, especially for detailed design. you can also used to mouse, but I think must be more patient. lol
