I notice that vector’s price seems a bit too low in this marketplace.. and this category doesn’t sell well in GR too. What do you guys think about this?

Thanks for your reply
I really hope as many as vector authors raise this concern since we have put a lot of effort in drawing vector, but the return seems to be not fair with our effort.
yes.. this is a real big problem, i have totally stopped uploading vector works as it is not well priced here… its a sad thing for me too. i hope they raise vector work’s price someday.
Yeah i Agree too … & kimi in the mean time you might wanna use ur skills more into Logo Design & Business Cards

If you say, that the vectors do not sell well…... raising the prices would be contra-productive.
The graphics section of this marketplace has a higher demand.
It is not about fairness, it is about supply and demand. That is how the price determinaton works…... If not many want vectors then the price will stay low in order to attract the buyers.
Kimi1122, you are totally right.
Envato recently launched PhotoDune, and they sell the extra large size images for 7$. As we all know vectors are larger than even the largest photo (They have no limit to their size.). Yet vectors are not even close to the price of a similar photo. But vectors and photos are too similar to be that different in price. They are both types of images. It just takes a lot more time to draw something than to take a picture of it. So it is kind of unfair in my eyes. Hansv you are right on the supply and demand thing, but it doesn’t always depend on the price only. Maybe if Envato promotes them better, they will sell better. Example: In Istockphoto vectors are the most expensive thing, yet they sell like crazy. Maybe it is time for vectors to have their own marketplace. One thing is for sure – something needs to be done for vectors. This issue needs attention.

Malchev, yes! I totally agree with you! Envato should pay attention to this issue by raising vector’s price and do marketing to promote vector items. I saw there are bunch of vector items really well-done in GR, just wondering they can’t have a good sales.
