"Updated" Items Tab in New Items Box

I was thinking today there needs to be a way to show users what files are updated. For example another sub tab on the homepage that shows selected (by staff) updates.

A perfect example is today I uploaded version 2 of STP which features fully redesigned CSS , 10 new option references, and 24 features overall. A large increase from when the script first came out but no one will be able to even see it unless they already know about the plugin or have bought it.

I upgrade plugins for the sake of keeping sales steady and giving new features to current buyers but beyond that I have not seen much use.

There is currently no incentive for authors (at least on CodeCanyon) to make large updates like this because there is no exposure to them.

It also would not be that hard to do, updates have to be approved anyways so the reviewer could simply select weather or not to add the item to the homepage on approval.

Again I know that showing every updated item makes no sense but with a small bit of re-tooling this could be something that is easily worked out and be beneficial to all as well as create an actual incentive to revisit items and build them up.

Or maybe even a separate forum to announce item updates… Just my two cents
