Thanks for pointing us to these old discussions! I have to admit: Reading this old thread I found myself wondering:
How would a “Top New Files” category hurt anybody?
I really don’t see the problem here and I honestly don’t understand, why a lot of posts in this old thread seemed to imply, that new authors wouldn’t acknowledge that the top authors deserve to be where they are. I think this is just beside the point.
From my point of view an additional ‘Top New Files’ category would be something everybody would benefit from.
I think that it is a great idea! I always have the sensations that a lot of great tracks get lost without having the right opportunity to be seen. It would be a great improvement in my opinion!
