For a bit of fun we added a mini-version of the top authors page that only includes authors that started uploading in that month. It’s pretty interesting.
Looking at themeforest’s chart for september over at http://themeforest.net/page/top_new_sellers shows that in one month alone kaptinlin went from signing up to nearly 750 sales!
So for any of the authors who have been around for a while, if you want to know who’s going to be nipping at your heels soon, watch that space!

Oh yeah, one other thing!
I’ve set it up so it counts you as a “new author” from the date of your first file submission to a particular marketplace. So if you’re a long time AD author and make the jump over to CC (and sell enough) you will show up in the CC top new author chart.
It seemed unfair to do it from sign up date as it’s not really connected with when you started contributing as an author, and same goes for when you first pass the author’s quiz.

So if I’ve passed author’s quiz at TF few months ago but start uploading items this month and earn enough to be on top then it’ll show me?
