Hey guys, I have been reviewing all your files the past week or so (awesome work by the way, keep it coming!), and I’m seeing the same mistakes over and over which leads to file rejection. Reviewers would much rather approve your file than reject, so I hope this helps some of you out there to avoid file rejection. So here we go with the top 5 reasons why so many files get rejected!
- If your file contains text (including business cards) you must ALWAYS provide font information (what font you used, and where to buy or download it from) in both your file description AND in a help file inside your main .zip file.
- Do not upload your files in .rar format. Always upload in .zip format.
- Do not use real contact information (phone numbers, names, Web sites) on your business cards, please use “fake” information/names. Yes, we call all the numbers on the cards to check. (joke)

- If you upload a vector file, you cannot solely upload an .ai file. You must ALWAYS provide an .eps file first and foremost, and you can provide an .ai file (or .psd or any other file) ONLY if you provide an .eps file.
- Do not use any stock photography that you do not have a special license to use. If you’ve got an image from a site purporting to be “license free” then this does not always mean that it is literally free to RESELL or REDISTRIBUTE . Thoroughly check the terms and conditions of the individual image license and/or the Web site terms and conditions. And when you DO use photography in your work, always let us know where it comes from in the “comments from author to reviewer” field, even if you took the photo yourself.
No-one should have any excuses now, so keep those awesome files coming!

A day, someone put a card with the real john doe telephone number….
Please, make your phone like this : 0590 XXX XXX …. for him
!! hihi
Thanks for the info, Scott!
It’s strange that many of these points sound familiar from the authoring tutorial and the quiz that all of us were supposed to pass…
Its easy to forget to add the font name to your description and help file. I have fallen victim to that.

Me to. I have waiting for approval 2-3 days and i have been rejected for not including the font ( arial btw ) in a help file in the zip. What was i thinking…
