time to buy an android phone (developing purposes)

The phone will be mostly used to optimize components/templates for android platform, that’s why i’m posting all marketplaces – need other devs

problem is: which one ? my current choice would be a Galaxy S2 – i saw the new Nexus with 4 but reading around it seems the S2 is still better overall.

But maybe i missed some other good alternatives so share ur thoughts if you will, thanks.

Regarding your Q ,i use Galaxy Note cellphone for almost 2 month now its a “little” monster , crazy phone if you ask me.

But i really think the majority of smartphone globalize use less than 4” and 2.2 android but really man who browse the web with phone any way ? we use apps …

yeah saw it, it’s good but too big – i would need something around 4” beacause more widespread.

Hint – Used phones are better for testing purposes, reduces cost as well as old enough to make sure it was hit on market.

Not sure if this cover majority of users but I decided to buy ~320×480 one and got HTC wildfire S for a low price believing this should be enough!

Own a Galaxy II. Pretty happy with it. Let me know if you want me to make any kind of test before buying it. The whole thing seemed huge when i bought it, but now i miss the screen size and its capabilities on any other phone i get, including my girlfriend’s iPhone.

@VF you got some points there but buying low-end phone now means i’d probably need to buy another one soon to keep up with updates.

@pez you say it’s good, i need no test. My only concern is i could have missed some other phone in the same price range with better specs/performances.
