I was talking with a client of mine who bought my theme and this same theme had 3 ratings of 5 stars .. then I ask him to rate the theme and a minute after .. I had 4 ratings .. 4 stars ..
I immediatly tought he made a mistake and rated the theme 1 star instead of 5 .. and then I email him asking if he rated it .. he said :
There rating feature isn’t the best, for some reason its marked it has 2 stars, I’ll get in touch with them
This kind of thing is unnacceptable .. rating are SO important .. my theme is right next to another magazine theme with 5 stars rating and he is my big competitor at the moment, somethign like this can really hurt sales because user will mostly click on the 5 stars instead of the 4 stars ..
USER SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHANGE THEIR RATING .. when will it be implemented?
And with the new design of the item page .. RATING THE A HUGE PLACE .. what is the problem here?

I don’t sell anywhere near what you do, but I agree.
It’s hugely frustrating that you can have say 2-3 of your themes on 5 star and your best and most recent work (in my case) only a 4 star purely because it either hasn’t had enough ratings or people aren’t rating it.
It’s soooooooo important. I wish more folks would rate the files they buy, it’s brilliant feedback.
Yes, it’s a true story…. So sad only a few rate the item and if they rate it always hurts. there can be four people with a 5 star rating and just one with 4 and you end looking like a bad author 
ratings regardless, l wouldnt worry that much, l always check peoples comments, support is more important l think.

too bad that only a few buyers act like you do. Ratings are very important for authors also for the own satisfaction 
But I think the dev team will come up with a new system. Would be a nice Christmas gift!

well as a buyer, l do check support and qouality bec rating dosent make much sense however keeps authors happy.

well ddstudios has good portfolio and templates so thats my opinion guys. always support more bec customers will come back, its golden role of customer service.

I’ve got the same situation 
Customer confused a button. I guess the rating system need improved.
My problem is my account is showing ratings for items I haven’t rated yet—and I don’t agree with many of the ratings I have supposedly made.
