It’s far from acceptance, colors, spacing, hierarchy, typography…everything is wrong, it feels like a 90’s site.

Hello Scott.

I have asked about advices/ideas, simply to repeat the standard answer from ThemeForest reviewer it not that I expect. If it possible give me more expanded feedback. With last statement I do not agree about feels like a 90’s site so it is possible to tell about many themes here.

However thanks you for your feedback.

Hey CyberDeal

I agree with Scotty, definitely the colors making it look like an out of date theme. Also spacing between titles and paragraphs are not consistent. I think you trying to display too much on the main page maybe keep it simple and try not to cram too much textual content on the main page. I like the top puldown or headsup which is a cool idea. The news and events looks like it could be a portfolio page not a news and events page. for the portfolio pages i would have less text and larger images maybe add a single column page. Cheers and good luck

Lester

Hello Lester.

Thanks for your review and advices.

I agree with Scotty, definitely the colours making it look like an out of date theme – it is more constructive, I will try to find other color scheme.

Also spacing between titles and paragraphs are not consistent – can specify where? I rechecked all not once, probably I have missed it.

I think you trying to display too much on the main page maybe keep it simple and try not to cram too much textual content on the main page – I agree and will improve it.

I like the top puldown or headsup which is a cool idea – thanks :)

The news and events looks like it could be a portfolio page not a news and events page – blog page has options in 4 variants: 2 columns, 3 columns, and pages with left or right sidebar.

for the portfolio pages i would have less text and larger images maybe add a single column page – I agree and will improve it.

I hope receive feedback like this advices and ideas, not only the empty criticism.

By the way my first reviewer has approved my theme and has left to another reviewer, the second reviewer has demanded change of some elements of design, but after improvements also it has been rejected.

I have enable all options on blog-page in submenu to News and Events.

Hey I would take out the recent articles and the light colors section and under the slider i would add 3 images above the 3 teasers maybe with some hover effects. The read more buttons i would move to the left.

The recent portfolio title i would move on top of the images or make it into a image scroller so you could add more images. The title the way it is is taking up all that space and creating the dead space under it.

Cheers

Hello Lester.

It is easy to do, simply disable this sections, I only wanted to show all options of the front page.

Here possible to see a screenshot of this front page options.

But I will accept your opinion.

Thanks you for your feedback.

Hello Alex, I got your email and here below I share a couple of my thoughts what might your template is lacking (to my own eye, naturally).

First thing is an overall look and mood. It is as if a little bit faceless, appealing to nobody and telling about nothing. Too generic in sense of personality. I would make it more individually oriented. What is this? Personal blog? Business website? Designer website? Craftsman website? Musician? Fashion? Stock exchange?–I cannot associate the template with any type of business/activity…

Second thing–over-overused scheme of layout: obligatory slider (and obligatory Nivo), obligatory three teaser boxes underneath and obligatory set of blocks (recent articles, scrolling set of images and so on). Something more interesting and unusual would be better, really.

I like toggling header but its content laid out is not perfectly, you will need to work more on laying out the elements in there.

There are too many social icons, I think in general people have less networks, and secondly they are so dominating, so loud in the header, maybe if to move them a little bit behind the main scene it would be better.

I would work on colours, blue is good colour, who argues, but somehow in this very template it looks boring (my feeling at least).

Visual hierarchy–difficult to understand what is more important, what is less. Though I see that font-sizes are different for various blocks headings, still it feels like all blocks are the same, same size, same importance, same capacity to attract visitor’s attention. Something should be done in order to correct this feeling. I think decreasing the amount content on the home page may do a good job as well, there are too much everything onto it. I would place only the most important blocks and they should be attractive and eye-catching both in sense of typography and their plot.

And one more thing–single blog page. Chaos with variants of columns (I understand it will be customer’s choice, but still it looks messy and inaccurate and uncomfortable in use), tiniest font-size for article, centred heading, an awkward sidebar with author’s details. Recent Posts block also is as if out of place. To be honest the whole blog page demands better styling and laying out of elements. I am talking about Single Post page. Try to work on sidebar, move it to the right maybe, or take it off at all, and I am not sure whether this longest row of social icons is required to be displayed once again at the bottom (you have it on top already, what for once again? Are social icons so important that they occupy so much room on one page?).

Hope my notes may somehow help you in further work, wish you good luck!
