Sales are slow and steady,but i started pondering something else:
“rover5” mentioned that he has a excellent start into May which makes perfect sense when you take a look at his portfolio.The files are summer themed and summer is coming so people want those files.
So i wonder if authors could prepare their portfolios to be more “all year around” – having templates themed to all the seasons,which would guarantee steady sales even in the summer.
Taking the idea step forward would be having very specific projects for each holiday.Just imagine having a greeting card for Valentines Day,Eastern,Mother’s Day,Summer Vacation,Christmas,New Years etc.Those now dreaded holidays would probably break your daily sales records since everyone is on the prowl for a specific type of template and you can offer that to them.
Not sure if it would be worth it since the projects only sell that one week off the year,but just pondering.We have discussed about the “What sells and why?” maybe we could think about the “When?”
