Textures for Resale

Having joined the Beta here I have come up against a wall in terms of being able to submit an item for sale. I realised that almost all of my 3D models / scenes use some elements of textures from free online sources.

This is of course a copyright concern, so I have started this thread for everyone to share resources of free textures with compatible licensing…

Obviously you should (and Envato requires) that you check the licensing for yourself. It is important to note that you must indicate and provide the sources and licensing details to the reviewer during submission, however here is a quick summary for one compatible source of textures:

I’ve used the textures on a 3D model/scene. Am I allowed to sell the model/scene and textures as a bundle?

Yes, if you have customized the textures for the 3D model or scene and you are selling the model and texture in one package. Please add the following text in the documentation accompanying the model:

“One or more textures on this 3D model have been created with images from CGTextures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default, please visit www.cgtextures.com for more information.”

Sell: You may not sell any of these textures in an unmodified form, or any derived works where the product you are selling is still a texture and is likely to compete with this website.

Redistribute: You may redistribute (give/send to somebody else/display on a web site) up to 30 of these textures together, but no more. You must credit this website as the original source (tell them about us).
