Hi There;

I am nearly at the end of a 3-week-consuming template work. As this will be my first template here, i really want to know how to upload it. I know about how to upload simple items. But uploading templates with tens of files and ASP scripts and Ms access database will be another story.

I think, i need to put it on my server and give the link to the reviewer guys as flashden doesn’t use ASP or PHP on its own servers. Is this right?

I am really concerned about waiting in the queue more than once for this also-time-consuming template.

So can you help me guys? Just tell me what to do.

Thanks in advance,

1) setup your template in your website

2) create a preview.fla and preview.swf in which there is a button with getURL to your preview in your website (must open in _blank)

3) zip preview.fla and preview.swf in preview.zip

4) zip all template files into files.zip

5) create 80*80 thumbnail.jpg

6) upload preview.zip, files.zip, thumbnail.zip in spesific fields in the form…

Good luck :D

i think server-side stuff must be disabled… but you can specify a link for the working version on your server…

Well.. you better do that than waiting for the file to be rejected.
I saw templates here with the server-side part disabled and with links to the working version.
also from the rules :

Note: You CANNOT upload PHP , ASP or any type of server side script ?les. If your preview uses some dynamic server side script we suggest you stub it out in the preview (i.e. make it load a static data.xml instead of getting it from generate_xml_data.php), OR, create a preview that links to an externally hosted version of the ?le you are selling.

i uploaded my files LatestNews and PinBoard like i said above…

be sure that it works… just set up your template in your own server and upload a preview.swf with the link to it… that’s all.. you don’t need to disable serverside script since you host it on your own server…. if you would try to host it on FlashDen you should create a fake version that loads xml instead of php or asp.. that’s all.. but in this case you are going to host it on your own server, so there is nothing special that you have to do…

regards…
