Template Rejected

Hey Guys and Gals

I submitted my band template and got rejected. The reviewer said that it is a good start but the inner content needs more styling. I honestly dunno what he means by this. The reason why i kept it simple is so the viewer can concentrate more on the images instead of the graphical elements.

Let me know if you have any ideas or feedback on what i should do with the styling mentioned by the reviewer.

I knew this wouldn’t get accepted. Simply does not look pro. In my previous review I said I don’t like this band, but anyway anything is possible, you had to find the right way.

Now you don’t know what to do, you feel stuck isn’t it?

Put this project aside for a while, start a new one! Maybe later you get the right track with this project.

I know you said that you do not like the band but those are just images that are changeable.

My question was about the inner content of the pages. Ok as not being pro what is not pro and what is pro?

Well i know what styling is but i just do not understand what they mean by the inner content pages styling because if you look at the template the pages are very minimal. The other problem is that the reviewers really do not give you a place to start exactly which they should because if they do see the problem then they should mention it in the review. Right. Maybe it’s only the reviewer that does not like it, it’s hard to tell but the thing is that we are all in this together and they should point the authors in the right direction or the ideas they have because just giving a vague review does not help anyone. I said this before and i am not bitching and complaining but the reviews cannot be generic because every template or file is different so how could you give the same generic answers.

The reviews have to be more to the point because it’s kinda hard to figure out what they did not like without them saying it. It’s like me saying i love potatoes but not all kinds of potato products. So there do you know what i do and do not like?

All i am just saying is that each review should point out the problems that the reviewer finds because i cannot read his mind.

Whatever you think, I’ve discovered that webdesign, newspapers, whatever text based publishing is totally based on typography.

If your layout does not fit and your text design is flat, you can use images with Angelina and Jesus getting married, the design is not valuable, so reviewers won’t click the right button

The reviewer did not say anything on typography but styling the inner content. The thing is tho that it is not a direct answer because it does not tell me what section or part of the content they did not like so how should i know what they are thinking if they do not put it down on paper.

The reviewer did say that it is a good start, so the layout must be ok i try to stay away from the layout that a 1000 other authors use. So the uniqueness is not the issue here. Also the template works fine i tested it in many different machines and browsers.

The reason why i started this thread is maybe someone will have the same idea as the reviewer and see the same issue with the problem. On your review the first thing you said that you do not like the band but did not say anything about the question that i asked.

I do think tho that images sell a lot of things so that’s not the issue either. Also webdesign is not really based on just text but also images same goes for news papers.

If you do not have an answer for me about the styling than why do you bother writing. When ever i answer a question i usually hit the nail on the head not around it.

Ok thats that, so if some one would be nice enough and have some feedback for me it would be totally appreciated.
