it would be nice if I could track where my referals are coming from.
example:
I have 2 banner ads linking to my portfolio. Im getting a lot of hit so I want to know which banner is getting clicked the most.
thats great i get a referral if someone clicks that
but when i need to know if the click came from banner one, or banner two, i need to put
http://activeden.net/banner1 and http://activeden.net/banner2
is there a way to accomplish tracking where my ads are clicked on from? using sub ids as described above or some other method?
ok i guess u cant post referral ids in forums so my point is totally missed … leme try this again…
if my referral link is
http://activeden.net/ref=arctic_ark (I replaced the # with a /)
i may need to sub id track the link with
http://activeden.net/ref=arctic_ark/link1 and http://activeden.net/ref=arctic_ark/link2
or you can manage that with an ad manager on your end and have much better statistics

Great idea, I will include this “ad manager” feature in the next version of my Envato Stats Dashboard (check out the ThemeForest PHP Section)
It would work perfectly well in with the other stats this app displays.
Cheers

I’d just like to get a referral
well i mentioned sub-ids, is an ad manager really neccessary for that? i dont think. all a sub id is a variable at the end of a referral link to tell you where the link was clicked from. for example
say my flashden referal is
www.iloveflashden.net/users/arctic_ark_rocks?subid=yahoo
www.iloveflashden.net/users/arctic_ark_rocks?subid=google
see at the end of the link theres two different sub ids for google and yahoo?
I need something like this for flashden, so that i know if a link came from my myspace, or my facebook, or twitter, or youtube, ya digg? ok coool. anyone know if flashden will keep track of these variables for me inside my earnings page?
