(Locked) Strange Top Sellers behaviour?

Hi guys,I hope that this thread will be also the most popular thread of the week :P…or better the most popular thread ever Like you see I live in Serbia. All of my custom work payments I do via WE (Western Union)since I don’t have PayPal or Moneybookers (not available in my country).I had problems few times with clients.I don’t know is the reason is that the clients don’t know even where is Serbia,or they get suspicious when I tell them that I don’t have PayPal or Moneybookers,like many other peoples. Then they must go to bank and send me the money via WE. Then the second problem comes. To send money from for example USA to Serbia it cost at least $30-50 depends on custom work price(amount). Many times then I must lower the price for custom work because clients don’t like the aditional $30-50 costs. This time I clearly gave up on much bigger amount than $30-50,and told the client to buy 45 times my project. 51% comes to me,and the rest to Envato. To be honest with you,I did that to see how it would affect on whole sales of my portfolio. I don’t see where is the problem,because it was my decision,I think I have the right to decide how to charge money for my custom works. And after all this is all business. Also the file is not bad,it had about 80 sales before this. Sorry for bad English,hope that you can understand what I mean.Regards

I totaly understand your position and I guess most of us does. I called it a legal cheating because there are actualy no rule braking. Sure you had no choise and you lost alot of money of your currency. I think that you would have had better investment into Ads or some exposure of your entire portfolio in some web banners for that amount of money, thats what i would do. But anyway I am neutral about this It’s like paying money for extra exposure… its your choise.

how can this be possibly a braking of any rules client bought 45 times his file with real money. All percentage wich has to be there went to envato earnings and other went to author earnings.

I mean YES it is cheating but if we take rules as they are then not the author is braking them but the client because HE bought items. This is called BARTER . When some goods are exchanged to service or other goods.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like it too. But I talk in a legal/lawful perspective.

I would not call this cheating. This week it may be top seller, next week it won’t even show up on top sellers page, right?

His client bought his item 50 times,mine also. Envato gets their part,I get mine. Or if you are right,why there are no notes with “you must be paid for your custom works only via PayPal” title? I think that many users used this method,but of course no one will tell us that.It is easy to judge another peoples. Mocarg I heard about Payoneer card,but I thought since PayPal is not available,that Payoneer is also not supported in Serbia,since if I am right PayPal is bigger brand.

And Moneybookers (Skrill). I use mostly Moneybooners, but have Payoneer also.

Very understandable situation but very high commision to be paid.

At first, I was shocked, cause I was sure, my file will be no 1 this time too, but Sales files got in top from nowhere, I looked at his portfolio and it was made in 2010, And I thought exactly what the cyzer was thinking, Buyers could have possibly bought the same items for 45 times. Anywayz, all the best to Sales and all authors.
