Should I Merge groups?

I am currently designing a poster which is graphic intensive with lots of layer styles on lots of vector shapes and I am worried It may get rejected on the basis that it takes a while to load! I have been rejected before due to the reviewer saying the file takes too long to open so don’t want this to happen with this file so should I merge the group of vectors to decrease the loading time? I understand it is best to leave the files so there is maximum opportunity for the end user to customize the file but I really don’t know how to handle this one??

You must be using a hell of a lot to be dragging your system down on a poster/flyer.

How big is the file? My posters are about 300 mb and sometimes take a bit of time to load. They were accepted. I usually do some kind of merging down on the final file if it’s got masses of layers. Also remember the max size of the zip file you can upload is 500 mb.

It’s only 150mb but very graphical and very in depth, I will take a look at turning some into smart objects and i will see if it reduces load times, thank you Quickandeasy,

Thank you also ToivoMedia i will reduce some layers and merge any that I think don’t need to be altered by the end user.
