Guys, cool it.
Well, after a few moments of amusement looking into your theme, ill try to help you out some.
So, the first thing i’ve noticed, is that there’s no consistency on the different pages of the design. I wonder how, for instance, you would go from the home/portfolio design to the contact page which has a different background, main area, everything.
As you said, this is suposed to be a v-card theme right? Almost 100% of them are a 1 page site powered with some jquery, javascript, sliding, etc… Yours, really, is more like a normal website. Don’t know if thats the case. Also, the illustrations are not great, they look too sketchy. And the backgrounds are also not good.
What bothers me, is that this illustrations are huge, they totally remove any reading flow the user might have. They just catch too much attention while the real, and important content, is left aside. You should avoid, always, to cross that line. Don’t make the illustrations more important them presenting the content itself.
A great example of a similar and well-made website would be:
http://themeforest.net/item/art-gallery-wp-photography-illustration-design/106643
You should also try to get a result that would appeal to a bigger crowd, that doesn’t mean that you can’t be creative though. You need to get to a point that even if a person don’t like that style of website…they still feel it’s well made. I don’t think that’s the case with your theme, yet.
All the best.
First at all I would like to apologize to all the reviewers for my thread. Remember I’m only women with better and worse days in the month and sometimes I react inappropriately or explode with emotion. Sorry again.
Thank you zecchin for your reply. I agree with your words and thank you for the constructive criticism. I really appreciate it.
I have made a decision to release this template for free. May be useful to someone?

Why in the world would you apologize for being a woman? Seriously… makes the rest of us look like weak little flowers.

I do not apologize for being woman olny for my worst day. Women are not weak. Men rule the world, but women rule men;)

Do you seriously not see how ridiculous it is to make that separation between women and men in this profession? We’re minorities as it is and apologizing because you have your period (even if only on your worst days) throws away 100 years of gender equality progress.
Maybe it’s the feminist in me or maybe it’s because I feel the pressure of being a minority in the web design business, but it’s totally not cool.
Sorry if I alienated myself from everyone on this thread but it probably should have been locked on the first page anyway.

Reviewers do not like the originality
I think you are taking this being unique thing to the extreme.
It’s a cute design but can you honestly say it has good selling potential?
You say that the other themes all look alike – well I think that too a certain degree they should have some similarities. As far as this marketplace goes being unique is more about putting your touch and spin on a general idea not going completely against the grain – if you want to sell that is. This is what I’m also trying to say:
You should also try to get a result that would appeal to a bigger crowd, that doesn’t mean that you can’t be creative though.
@JamiGibbs – why so serious? Could you elaborate on “I feel the pressure of being a minority in the web design business”?
This thread just keeps getting better.

I don’t want you to think the people who responded on the first page did so with the amount of sarcasm due to her gender… In terms of this community I’ve seen zero signs of people being sexist in the least bit, besides the occasional “just joking around” light-hearted comments that exists everywhere and are not meant to be degrading.
