Doesn’t look bad at all. When browsing through Item Discussion, in most of the rejected themes I immediately see, what’s wrong and that they really don’t meet the marketplace’s standards yet.
But with your theme, I really don’t know… The only thing I don’t like is the logo and the very top menu bar. I would get rid of it and make the logo bigger (omg, bigger, yes, but really) and spacious.
But with the rest, it’s very OK and I have nothing against it. It looks like you put a lot of work into it.
Maybe if you submit a support ticket, Ivor will be kind to provide more detailed feedback.
Good luck
I love what you theme could be but i dont like what it is right now.
The details just need more polish as far as im concerned.
The Icons in the header dont really fit with the rest of the theme, looks like you just took the first free iconset and put it in, try to find or create better more fitting style and colorwise icons.
Buttons: While i think the slideout, fade the arrow in effect looks sweet, the normal (not hovered) buttons look kind of boring / dull. Take the “Top” link button for example, while hovered i love it, unhovered i think it looks just plain boring.
Your “Go” button in the search box should match the radius of the box in the bottom right corner, looks unpolished.
The blog template looks very boring and the icons of it (print, email) arent exactly eyecandy either.
And so on…
If you fix those little things i think it could be a really nice theme.
Thats just my personal opinion, so please dont take offense from it.

Darinka,
Ivor did indeed provide an essential information doesn’t offer a unique enough design out of his boring copy-paste feedback here:
Hi Dan thanks a lot for your email,Your template was declined because it doesn’t offer a unique enough design to meet our current approval standards. You’ll need to improve the template’s design uniqueness and overall refine its quality in aesthetics and typography before it will be ready for ThemeForest and before it will be able to stand out in our marketplace.
At this stage in the design I am, unfortunately, not able to provide more specific feedback other than what I’ve stated before. With further improvements I may be able to provide more specific feedback. If you’re not sure where to begin improving your template from here, you might consider seeking feedback via our forums or sites such as http://Dribbble.com,http://ConceptFeedback.com or http://Forrst.com. These are all fantastic resources to seek feedback from fantastic designers.
Hopefully I’ve been able to answer your questions, however, if I haven’t then please feel free to let me know. Thanks again for your template submission and I do hope you submit more templates in the future.
Kind Regards,
Ivor Padilla
squaredWeb, that is bloody better than the above, thanks so much.
The design right now in the live site was created to meet 24 different styles, I mean really different with various borders and hover effects, both light and full black designs.
Anyway, I started to work again yesterday. I am gonna start all over again, but I will not adapt the current features to meet the new design, I will remove some to save time and concentrate on UNIQUENESS . My next attempt will present an unique design never seen on TF.
Regards and thanks again,
Danny
I like this theme and I like how it feels a bit sophisticated and the color scheme suits me. The only problem however, is it reminds a great deal of this theme – Dynamix (http://dynamix.creativeworkz.co.uk/). Maybe that’s the point they are trying to make. There are few templates here already that have similar vibes. Still diggin it though…

Just a name.. you’re a BP fan? I’m not, I just like the idea of that slide
You think that’s why I got rejected?
Just a name.. you’re a BP fan? I’m not, I just like the idea of that slide You think that’s why I got rejected? No, but it’s in poor taste and a potential copyright violation not to mention the use of a celebrity image as an endorsement of a product.

OK Thanks for the heads up, noted.
