I feel like on half my threads I have to give a disclaimer due to my, ahem, penchant for getting my comments flagged
Disclaimer Not pimping or dissing any author or theme.
Simple question, looking for a simple answer.
Why is “A” theme 35 dollars and “B” is 40?
Again, I’m just trying to make sense of how theme forest charges and I still find no rhyme or reason.
In this specific example let’s compare “A” and “B” themes. Both are great themes (to be fair, I only actually own “A”). But I’m trying to figure out why “B” is 5 dollars more than one of the best, best selling, and most fully featured themes on TF…EVER. And it just got a big new update!
Just curious, trying to make sense of the world around me
P.S. Please raise all the prices for WP Themes

Change Breeze & The Dawn to “a” and you wont get flagged
+1 for raising prices.
I’m not sure what you mean lol, maybe I’m too tired, do you mean edit it like I just did? Put the theme names in ””? I don’t know what that would do…maybe just a joke that went over my head

It basically comes down to a reviewers decision, but if you want to raise a price of your item, you can ask your reviewer and if he/she approves it, you are set – done that already 2 or 3 times so far and all changes were approved.
Envato should raise prices once the dollar drops even more – or change the currency to something more stable. I’ve lost thousands of dollars on this “bad” dollar on TF… Not sure why I should be getting less and less when my skills are getting better and better with each release…

We would lose tens of thousands of customers from the US if we do that. And Euro is not a stable currency either .. so that leaves us what ?
IMO the best alternative is to display the price in the currency the customer is ( like on iTunes where the prices are in E if you have a EU account ) and maybe let the author open additional currencies for his earnings .

Check out GoldMoney.com. You can actually configure an online store to accept payment in gold if you have a GoldMoney account. I would accept my payouts in gold if Envato offered this option.
