Obviously there is definite demand for branded products, but we can\’t have them. However, let’s look at that as an advantage. Pretty soon we’ll be chock full of original models and we’ll get a name for unique solutions. We are able to offer the market, and focus our efforts, towards quality original content.
This whole copyright issue is a really difficult subject and it is hard to give a satisfactory definition of what is allowed and what is not. We are discussing this matter internally and I will of course let everyone know what the outcome is.
In the meantime we have had 2 authors actually take initiative. They contacted copyright holders to ask for their permission to sell models of their products. We will see what their responses will be and how hard it actually is to get a permission.

I think most of the time they would want some royalties. I guess it would work the same if i wanted to sell a song by the Rolling Stones. First i would ask for permission than when the permission is granted you would agree to a royalty fee that you would pay the Stones for selling the song each time or is it is on your album they would get a cut out of the money that you make.
Pretty sure it works the same way. Also i think your file would have to go through their QA department and get approved or rejected.
Lot of times you will be able to use their product if it’s for educational purposes and for free which here is not the case because we are trying to sell the brand that really is not ours just a re-creation.
