It appears they have found a solution… http://imageshack.us/f/341/screenshot20120109at093.png/
First time ive noticed the pop up – shows how busy we’ve been recently
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
- Attended a Community Meetup
- Author had a Free File of the Month
- Item was Featured
- Most Wanted Bounty Winner
- Microlancer Beta Tester
- Sold between 100 000 and 250 000 dollars
- Contributed a Tutorial to a Tuts+ Site
I understand the need to do this change but it’s still uncool because we have to change 30 item descriptions + it was a nice feature.
Some people are complaining about changing 10’s of items. Lucky for Urbazon he didn’t put it on his 600+ assets. That would have been something to complain about

preg_match the urls with follow and remove them
do that for us devs :))
I hope that in the future if certain authors abuse the html code that AJ will not disable that too. Many of us depend on these features to generate sales. I would hate to see just text like the other sites have. AJ has something unique as far as the “look” goes. This worries me a little.

Any news on this?
May be some kind of a short code or a widget thing can make it work like the original Follow button?

We’ll put a page on the far side of the GET request for the follow link similar to a suggestion above.
We’ve got just over 100 open tickets for dev work for our maintenance guys so it might take a little while for us to get to it.
