(Locked) Price Increases

Hey guys – the reviewers did their job long ago. Unfortunately its been stuck on my desk which has been snowed under since the KL meeting over the last 2 weeks. Yes literally there is a meter (or 3 feet in the old system) of snow on my desk. Really. 1 meter from hot and humid KL

But you know, at night, that feeling somebody is watching you …. then you smile and tell yourself “nobody is here, i’m alone” ? You’re not … that’s us

I just wish they kept the Price Adjustment Tool in effect until they get this pricing thing sorted out. I also hope that if we already adjusted a $35.00 theme to be $40.00 (via the old price adjustment tool), that it can still get priced a bit higher.

I’d be happy to pay $40 for a great theme, no problem. But, a word of warning – don’t go nuts with the price increases. iStockPhoto recently did that and I’ve noticed loads of people moving away from them and going to competitors. They have a very dominant market position so maybe they’re happy with it, but I know their competitors are delighted

If you could buy TF themes elsewhere I’d agree with this but for the large majority of them you can’t.

I really think this price thing should be about inflation above all else. For lunch yesterday I bought a small turkey sandwich, a coffee and a juice for $10.50

I would not be happy to pay $40 for a theme. $39 will go down easier.
