just a stupid wuestion: do we HAVE to add those preview images now or can we leave this spot blank in the upload form? cheers
It´s optional, do as you wish for now. If you include them they won´t show until everything´s fixed.
This preview image problem is still puzzle me.
Why there are new submission that aren’t have 950×300 preview image, but they still accepted?

From the first post in this thread:
Since protecting the work of our authors is my top priority, I’ve asked the development team to please hide/disable Preview Image Sets until the fix is ready.
I think that answers your question.

I assume there is a typo there and Zeusbox means 590×300. Notice that his last 4 files have adhered to this new requirement.
Amanda did originally announce that all future files had to be to these dimensions (inline with other marketplaces) to decrease server load and allow for a better hover feature. Anything larger would be soft-rejected from some time around now. It would be a big overhaul but shouldn’t affect sales as we now have the multi-image preview facility.
She then announced it had been delayed because the update queue was screwing up, and the last thing they would want is every author updating their files to meet this new requirement.
Since then the multi-image preview has been pulled because of the lack of watermarks, and then to top it all off Amanda got ill for a week.
...So with broken update queues, no multi-image facility and the site manager off sick – it was hardly a good time to roll out such a huge change!
Weirdly her original announcement seems to have been entirely removed from the forums, which only adds to the confusion! Although you can still see the cached version at google if you’re really interested, fellow detectives!
Zeusbox – you don’t need to keep to those dimensions for now, however you are saving yourself time in the long run as I assume this will eventually be reannounced. Hope it helps!
Philmo, thanks a bunch for you explanation and corrected my typo.
This thread is quite confusing. I hope your reply will help others too.

+1 Agree because there are still many people who are confused regarding this feature.
