Hello all, I am new to this site; I purchased my first file yesterday from enhancedmedia. Here is a link to the file I purchased: http://activeden.net/item/fill-preloader/15767
I just opened the folder and tried to open the .fla file, and I get an error that says: “Failed to open document.Macintosh HD:Users:...etc (path name):Downloads:fill-preloader-source:fill_preloader.fla.”. I am on a Mac OSX 10 .5.8, and I use MX 2004 Flash Professional. I am an intermediate flash user, I have never used or created a preloader before and i am not that familiar with action script, BUT I do know how to open and edit a Flash file and this file won’t even open.
In the off chance that I am an idiot and am missing some basic step in accessing this file, I am posting here to get educated. I have emailed the author, but I am on a deadline and supposed to have this flash finished today
. I am hoping someone can give me advice or help me. I have to say my first experience is not encouraging, but I hope this will be resolved soon so that I may actually use the file I have purchased. Thanks for listening, Jen

That file opens with Flash 8. You need at least flash 8 to open it. You could contact the author or possibly someone that still has flash 8 can down convert it for you.
That was my misunderstanding then. I thought Flash 8 was older than MX 2004 , not newer. I am updating to CS5 soon but clearly that doesn’t help me for this project. Thanks for the help. Jen
Hi Jen, Sorry for not replying sooner, been an awfully long and busy week at work
Didn’t see that you had created this thread too
I’ve just emailed you back anyways, basically saying exactly what has been mentioned here already. Best of luck with your project and sorry that there was confusion
Hey that’s fine. I appreciate your help. I should have done my homework a little better and not assumed my version of Flash would work. Thanks again. Jen
