For a long time poly count has been an optional field. Though it may save the author a few seconds to leave it out, poly count is a really nice thing for the buyer. That’s especially true if they’re using the model for a game or interactive content. Not only that, but requiring poly count will allow us to do some pretty cool search and categorization things in the future. :) Enjoy!

again it feels like I’m living on a different planet, as I thought that field too, as the obligation to provide obj. alternatives to a model were mandatory from the beginning lol :D Oh well, less worries for me :D

A bit of a strange one I thought we had to.

There have been some modes I have like and thought about buying but had no poly count or wireframe so ignored as could not tell the quality of the model. This may be happening with buyers as well so hopefully it will be good for the market place.

I think authors should have to back date this as well.

If authors ever want to update their files, even just the description, they’ll need to set this attribute.

This is good news, because it frustrating when you do not know one of the most important information about the 3D model.

Thanks good it will really help the market place i will check over my items but think i have it on all.

It will help authors who aim to create clean meshes as often I have seen models with poly counts that are too high for the shape they have created, you should always use the minimum amount of polys possible.
