I think it’s nice to see people getting excited about their achievements no matter their size. With all the negative things that the media throw in our faces all day long its nice to see a little bit of ‘good news’. If you don’t like it just ignore it.
Yes, if every author did it for every paw it would get a bit much but not all authors visit the forums and not all authors create these posts. I’d hate to have to start disabling ‘celebratory’ posts.

On a more serious note.. I’m not too much of a fan of those milestone threads, but I can imagine people like them. Personally, I mostly choose to just ignore them and let them be. 
A seperate forum section would just be making them too serious and add too much weight.
