The problem with this approach – aside from a heavier load – is that something like 50% of email clients have images set to ‘off’ by default.

^ that’s a nice percent considering the 80% that will have emails clients not displaying web fonts. ;)

Hi Generator, I am aware of such statistics, and do completely agree with you. I just wanted to present a quick, simple and uncomplicated solution, given that James needs only sending material to 1 unique person, as his post described.

But yes, to do what I’ve suggested, as a permanent aesthetic solution to send thousands of e-mails across the world, definitely, some serious considerations would have to be made.

From my experience, you can only target Apple Mail in Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to have custom font’s. All other E-mail Clients have a fallback to any web safe font you want, i.e – Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif.
