Much much better man! There’s still a few texture issues, but it’s also a tricky image as well as texture to fit to, so I’ll let you off the hook on that one, but if we were being anal about it, that would still need work. I think the texture pattern from your original image worked better on the face, though this one looks much better on the hand! But that’s still the main thing on the image, but I’m glad to see progress being made :)

The top jewelry thing seems more like a burn mark now though… is it actually a flat vector or something? You could work on that too.

I’d still say there are too many black areas where you can’t see anything, but perhaps that personal taste. Glad to see I was right with the highpass on the eyes, they look much sharper now :)

I did like the highlights you had going more in your other image a bit better, but that’s not really something “wrong”, but a bit more about taste I guess. You could still definitely put a bit more light on the lips though (just be careful with that weird glow you got last time! good masking is key(light).... thumbs if you got that joke :D)

But overall, much better!

I’ll look forward to seeing what you do in the future with other images :)

It’s definitely heading in the right direction, but the texture still stands out as being too flat, particularly on the fingers, nose and jawline. This is a quick and messy attempt, so forgive the poor quality.

What I tried to do, which hopefully shows, is to make the texture follow the subject’s skin. It’ll take a bit of time with the warp tool and masking, but the result would be much more realistic, if done well.

Also, your latest edit is pretty dark. I’d bring a bit more of the brightness of the previous image back, personally.

Edit > Transform > Warp. It’ll show a mesh over the image or selection you’re warping – you can either click and drag the mesh or use the control points and bars to manipulate the warp.

Make sure you make a copy of the texture as you’ll likely need a few different warped layers for the whole facek. I used one layer for the nose and another for the rest in my small example and masked out any overlap. If I was doing the whole image I’d probably have separate layers for each finger, one for the rest of the hand, one for the neck, one for the face and one for the nose.

Solid advice from davidgoodland there, I agree with everything! I should add you could also use the Liquify tool instead of Warp, as long as you just keep layers turn on, depending on what you’re more comfortable with.

I don’t know… I like the picture in post #5.

That faux pax oil painting cracked effect looks much better in my opinion. I don’t like the latest ammendment.
