How can i get the gallery not to keep showing up the load symbol, and taking that long to load an image, and just load the pictures instantly.

They are called pre – loaders, their sole purpose is to show there until the content is loaded. If you want your pictures to load faster, open it using Photoshop, click file, save as, select JPG or whatever you need it, and then reduce the quality from the bar you have there till the picture has a lower size, and the quality suits you, remember the fact that pictures usually have big resolutions to look good on zoom, if you cannot save/zoom the picture on your site then you can reduce it to 50% quality without any harm done.
