graphicmind said – Good idea with the sticky thread but after some time it might become boring and way too big.
Well yeah but that’s kinda the reason isn’t it?
While I don’t begrudge anyone their success and appreciate their pride in expressing it, these threads are uninformative, unhelpful and dilute the good stuff!
+1 for a sticky!

My point is that a sticky thread would be useless then and we’d be better off without it.

15 comments of fame!...and probably 15 threads every 3 days I guess! You can’t judge something until it’s not tried out. SO the sticky thread would be an idea to see if it would work.
How about a news scroller or a ticker tape on the homepage or on the GR thread somewhere with the latest authors earning their paws? And when you click on the particular author it goes straight to their profile page…just an idea!

Those are quite good ideas Boxed. I like the idea of a sticky thread since it would be everyone posting their stuff in one thread and sharing the love
We all start from the same place…..Same as you, Be NICE Its the only thing thats free at the mo?
Let all author have the best achieve, make all author so famous that you ever have.
Nobody really seems to have a problem with people wanting to be happy about their accomplishments. It’s already been stated a few times. Don’t take the topic the wrong way.
The “complaint” is actually about a deluge of “common posts” appearing on the forum detracting and drowning out real discussion topics. As the community grows the number of new paws and sale counts grow. Eventually you have more threads of these kinds and less space for real discussions. Remember they are all related to the same topic but have multiple spots because each is for a different person. Also don’t forget that each time someone comments it’s bumped. It’s very common to isolate recurring posts and themes. Just imagine if there were 20 “why did my item get rejected?” posts on the first page every day too. You want to help and totally understand, but realistically it can cause an issue with usability if there are too many. That’s all.
As for solutions, no idea. Currently the number of threads are still pretty low I think. Having a single area for paws, sale counts, and such could potentially help everyone. There are probably individuals who don’t post on purpose and having a place would mean they are more free to do so. No clue if a sticky is best, it was just a suggestion for a quick and easy (pun intended!) solution that is often used. Isolating things doesn’t necessarily mean they are ignored either but not sure in this case. Having an item discussion tab doesn’t prevent me from visiting it often for example.
*Just my opinion!
I don’t really mind them currently. I even replied in many recently and will keep doing so!
||+521484|quickandeasy said-|| It encouraged me and made me know that it was possible to reach those paws. You mean before everyone made a milestone thread, you missed seeing the badges under everyone’s avatar which very clearly shows how those same badges/paws are a fact and so, a possibility for everyone to reach/accomplish?
(not that I have such a big issue with those threads, just sayin’.)
