Onclick jQuery (or w/e) content box dropdown

Hey,
Long story short, I am looking for something very similar to the upper-left marketplace-switcher. I want a dropdown/content to fade-in when a button is clicked. I have been searching around, bust most jquery plugins either offer a tooltip-like feature or navigation menu dropdowns.

So, just to clarify, I simply want a snippet of code to fade-in a content box/div when a certain button is clicked. As usual, I assume jQuery is the rather ideal language for this.
