New prices Magento themes

As you’ll find on ThemeForest, we generally under-cut the competition by about 50%. Most WordPress themes sell around the web for $60 – $80. That’s why we price between $30 – $40.

Magento templates sell for much more, which explains the increase in pricing.

The author is marked as exclusive, but seems to be selling the same items on the website he links to on his profile page.

Glad I didn’t release a new theme this week… 12 authors got bumped from the front page from all these new releases…

i could see many released this week, and its still monday. magneto themes look awesome but the price is a bit too high for my taste as a buyer so the documentation has to be really huge and confusing bc you have to teach your costumers how to use and setup magneto and then, how to use the template

We should have been warned of such a flood , I would have never released my theme.

Still though, i’m hugely going to try my hand at Magneto theme although like someone else said, they’re actaully not that easy so hats off to the authors who can sell one for 82$

Also how come one theme is like $12?? I feel sorry for that author, bit of a raw deal I reckon!

I imagine there are more in the queue, the guy has 38 themes for sale on his own website and these 12 are from there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the other 26 are going to follow soon after…

If that’s the case, I will delete my theme from the queue right now. Can we get an official word on this please?
